Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. @ The Curve

Went to bubba gump shrimp co. located at The Curve yesterday for Leanne's birthday dinner and this is my first visit there. We thought the price will be quite expensive since they serve fresh and tasty seafood.

However, surprisingly the price was quite reasonable compared to other western seafood restaurant.

I think everyone knows what is this by now. It's so popular in the food blogs that did reviews on Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Put this when you do not want the waiters/waitresses to come bother you.

And this when you need the crew to come to your table. Cool right. I know.

The metal bucket.

The crew served us very well.

The taste of the food was even better than what we expected, service was good, so the price was worth every nickel.

Cajun chicken with Mashed potatoes. Yumms.

This is the seafood version of the Cajun Chicken, I don't know what is this called. I just know it tasted very good. The fish and shrimps were very fresh.

Best salad that I've ever eaten. Not only because it has fresh strawberries in it but because the sauce/salad dressing was strawberry sauce. Uber nice.

Shrimp pasta. Taste is moderate, maybe because I don't like the garlic taste in it.

Mushroom soup, it tastes kinda nice but then there was this nasty smell in the soup. I think they added some shrimp paste or something in it.

See the background? Lienn's favourite. Bubba Gump has got this special room which looks very english-y, lovely like that. Can accomodate about 15 people I guess. We were so lucky to be seated in this lovely room.

Their shrimps are 100% fresh, and the best thing is they removed the shells for lazy people like us. Heh. I wanna have their shrimp recipe so that I can eat such finger lickin' shrimps whenever I want to.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is really good for parties or any small dinners with a bunch of close friends. I would definitely go back with whoever who wants to come with me. Hehe. Lienn, Vian, Jess and Joanne? :)

Leanne's Sweet Sixteeeeen

I know it's kinda late to post a birthday post up here for Leanne right now but at least I still have the heart. Hehe. Helped Zhie Lynn with the surprise birthday party that she planned with the other friends by acting in front of Leanne all week long. All of them are so sweet. Congrats for the 90% successful plan. Haha. All of you did a great job yesterday.

Decorating the house.

Balloons yay!

Her friends writing love messages for Leanne. AWWWW.

Too bad Wai Kee and the boys came back from Vian's house just at the point when Leanne came back. That's why the plan was just 90% successful. She was still very surprised though.

At least she was soooo happy with her presie.

Plus her Cheo Well turned up for the partay although he and her friends were not to say VERRRRRYYY close.

And finally, it was food time.

From satays,

to finger lickin' good KFC.

The traditional cake cutting/candles blowing session.

MCD breakkie

A healthy and satisfying breakfast plus awesome chat session with the awesome chatting partner equals to ♥. Haha. Went and have breakfast at MCD with Lienn. Had a long chat session about almost every single thing on earth starting from bubble milk teas to future life plans.

Super oily but nice Hashbrowns. Our all-time favourite.

Sausage McMuffin with egg.

Some chinese astro Malaysian actress having a shoot here.

Talking about a healthy breakfast, I would like to share an email that I received a few days ago regarding the benefits of eggs. To those who love eggs, eg: Lienn, Joanne and every other people on earth and to those who hate eggs, eg: the one and only Jessica Lee Yue Lin.

I dont know whether the source is reliable or not but it's good to know anyway.

10 Health Benefits of Eggs :

1. Eggs are great for the eyes. According to one study, an egg a day may prevent muscular degeneration due to the carotenoid content, specifically lutein and zeaxanthin. Both nutrients are more readily available to our bodies from eggs than from other sources.

2. In another study, researchers found that people who eat eggs everyday lower their risk of developing cataracts, also because of the lutein and zeaxanthin in eggs.

3. One egg contains 6grams of high-quality protein and all 9 essential amino acids.

4. According to a study by the Harvard School of Public Health, there is no significant link between egg consumption and heart disease. In fact, according to one study, regular consumption of eggs may help prevent blood clots, stroke, and heart attacks.
5. They are a good source of choline. One egg yolk has about 300micrograms of choline. Choline is an important nutrient that help regulate the brain, nervous system, and cardiovascular system.

6. They contain the right kind of fat. One egg contains just 5 grams of fat and only 1.5 grams of that is saturated fat.
7. New research shows that, contrary to previous belief, moderate consumption of eggs does not have a negative impact on cholesterol. In fact, recent studies have shown that regular consumption of two eggs
per day does not affect a person's lipid profile
and may, in fact, improve it.Research suggests that it is saturated fat that raises cholesterol rather than dietary cholesterol.

8. Eggs are one of the only food that contain naturally occurring vitamin D.

9. Eggs may prevent breast cancer. In one study, women who consumed at least 6 eggs per week lowered their risk of breast cancer by 44%.

10. Eggs promote healthy hair and nails because of their high sulphur content and wide array of vitamins and minerals. Many people find their hair growing faster after adding eggs to their diet, especially if they were previously deficient in foods containing sulphur or B12.

-C&P-ed from email-

Conclusion, Thank God for eggs.

Hey peeps, guess what? This blog, my blog, was featured in yesterday. I did not log into for quite some time so I didnt know for how long I was featured/picked by the editor. I came to know about this yesterday, thanks to Mahibul all the way from Bangladesh who is also a member of

I'm feeling very happy right now cause this is my first achievement in the blogosphere. Plus, I did not need to apply or do anything to get featured, the editor just picked me.

Thanks to the editor of, all my readers (loyal-everyday readers or passerbys) and also Lienn, who was the one who encouraged me to start up this blog beginning this year.

A big thank you to all, although it's not like I've been featured in mags or newspapers but I believe it's a great start. Praise God for that.

Champagne Grapes

Was so happy when I saw the champagne grapes that Momma bought on the table. Looking at the tiny little grapes, it makes me recall the days when I was still in Taylor's with the girls.

Lienn, Joanne and Vian loves to drop by the MBG fruit shop to buy fruits right after lunch.
Lienn - Cherry tomatoes, Joanne and Vian - Mixed fruit cups. Hehe.

And outside the shop, there were lotsa different fruits for sale, including the champagne grapes and that was when I first saw those tiny cuties. Momma bought the champagne grapes a few times last year, and this is the first time for this year. Missed those grapes so much, not because of its taste but because of its cute-ness.

These are the champagne grapes, if you have not seen them before.

A closer look. Juicy juicy.

I think you should be able to see the tiny-ness of the grapes here. Haha.

The traditional Tang Yuen

It's been so long since I've rolled the glutinous rice flour into little roundy balls. I think the last time I made tong yuen was when I was still in primary school. I loved rolling rolling rolling and moulding the flour into a small ball-y. Hehe. Ever since the existence of The Soya Shop, I think I've never wanted to eat the traditional plain ones anymore. Until recently I just suddenly craved for the very original and plain pink and white tong yuens.

So me and Leanne started to mix, knit and roll the dough into doink-doink balls.

Pinky dough.

Pink ball-ys.

Pink and white ball-ys.

But soon after I ate the first bowl of the tong yuen, I felt that I wouldn't wanna eat tong yuen for the next two years. So plain, cannot tahan. I still prefer The Soya Shop's chocolate filling tong yuen. Heh.

On another note, it's Vian darling's birthday today. So, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ah VIAN. Hehe. I dont have any owl post for you cause obviously I'm a muggle (if i'm not wrong). So I'll just wish you through a BLOG POST instead. K la, lame. If you're seeing this right now in China, enjoy your day and eat more Chinese food cause you'll totally miss Chinese food when you're in Spicy India.

That's all for today. :) ToODels!

Asia Pacific Dance Explosion 2010!!!

Asia Pacific Dance Explosion 2010, tiring but fun. Although I wasnt one of the contestants but I enjoyed taking photos and videos of other awesome dancers. And as usual, the people there were just so crazy and hyper.

However, I was abit disappointed about the results for almost every category yesterday. Hmm, I really dont know what the judges were looking for in those dancers. Few of the good dancers did not get what they deserved, which should be a better placing than what they've gotten.

Ok, let's start the picture session.

ADPX 2010, Shangri-la Hotel.

In the changing room.

Contestants trying out the dance floor.

Getting ready to hit the dance floor.

The competition starts off with the Newcomers, Primary category.

More pictures of the boy.

Hip hop category, both teams from JAPAN. Splash and Strawberry Princess.

Nicole on the dance floor. Newcomers, Junior Teen.

Korean lady's solo performance.

One of my favourite awesome dancer, Esther Loong.

Countries Parade.

Malaysia!! Waka waka eh ehhh~ lol

Before dinner. Looked so tired already.

With Becky who's wearing super short skirt. Whee whit.

The girls.

Lovely white roses.

The typical first dish, four season. I think the dinner doesnt worth the RM170 that we paid for, per person. Didnt have the mood to take photos of the other dishes.

Now it's time for a few caption-less pictures again. Hehe.

And I shall end the post with this.

One of the belly dancer.
